Governance and HR Agility: Ensuring Continuity and Recovery During a Pandemic and Beyond

This webcast explores governance and HR challenges as employers prepare for increased workforce and business activity when Covid-19 restrictions are eased. These challenges are organized into two primary themes:

• The first theme explores structural changes to HR demand and supply, highlighting complex and underexplored macro-level changes that  may present worker reemployment challenges.
• The second theme is focused on balancing employee wellbeing and business needs, given that some workplace adjustments for physical distancing and health related considerations will need to become semi-permanent in the short to medium term, until a vaccine is developed and widely available.

For each challenge presented, employer solutions are offered, with cautionary notes where required. This webcast will allow participants to:

• Understand macro-level and micro-level employment-related challenges to business continuity and recovery during a pandemic.
• Articulate at least three unique pressures on employers as they prepare for increased employment and business activity as Covid-19 restrictions ease.
• Differentiate and evaluate varying solutions to balancing business needs and employee concerns for wellbeing in the short to medium term.
• Compare multiple stakeholder concerns related to workplace adjustment measures, given uniquely Canadian economic response strategies, employment law and  labour conditions.
